The Surgery Hordle is our branch surgery; it works in the following way:
Only patients with an appointment will be seen
Appointments are made only though the Health Centre (01425) 621188
Hordle surgery has NO emergency facilities, so ALL emergencies will still only be seen at the Health Centre
Patients arriving without an appointment will always be redirected to the Health Centre
Repeat prescriptions can only be collected at the Health Centre
Most treatment room tasks, especially blood tests, only take place at the Health Centre
Doctors will attend by rota. It may not be possible to see the doctor of your choice as quickly at Hordle as it would be in the Health Centre.
Extended Opening Hours
Due to COVID-19 extended hours provison may differ - please contact your usual site for details.
From the 1st February 2020 we will be providing extended hours between 6:30-8:00pm Monday-Thursday at The Arnewood Practice, Milton Medical Centre.
Offering a range of routine appointments with GPs, Nurses and Health Care Assistants to provide better access for patients from across Coastal Medical Partnership who struggle to attend during normal working hours.
Staff from all three sites will be covering these hours, so don’t worry—you will still be able to see a Doctor you know! Bookings will be managed by your registered practice, so you can just call Reception as normal.
Extended hours are for pre-booked, routine care only. If you require medical attention during core hours (08:00 - 18:30) this will continue to be provided at your usual registered practice.
When We Are Closed
When the surgeries are closed the Out Of Hours Service will take on the responsibility for providing health services. The service will also be available on Bank Holidays.
Only contact the Out of Hours service if you have a medical problem that cannot wait until your surgery opens. This service is available by telephoning 111.
The 111 service, available 24 hours a day, can also signpost you to the most appropriate local service.
