Coastal Medical Partnership continues to deliver the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, both in the community and at our vaccination clinic at New Milton Health Centre. We have completed our invites for all our patients over aged 70. In addition, all those in the 'Extremely Clinically Vulnerable' (Shielding patients) group have also received their first invite. If you are in either of these categories but have not received your text, email or letter (depending on what contact method we hold for you), please call us on 01425 611788 to get your vaccination booked.
We have invited two thirds of our 65-69 year olds already but have now been asked to focus our attention on cohort 6, patients 16-64 who have an underlying health condition, and Adult Carers. For clarity, Adult carers are defined as ‘Those who are in receipt of a carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill.’ If this applies to you, but we are not aware, please let us know so we can include you in this cohort.
If you have aged 65-69 and have not yet received an invite from us or the national booking programme, then you can book your own appointment at one of the mass vaccination centres by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
Many housebound patients are contacting us to ask when they will be vaccinated. Southern Health are delivering vaccines to housebound patients. As long as we have you registered as housebound on our system, we will pass those details on to the district nurses who will be vaccinating you.
As a reminder, to see where you are in the priority groups, please click here. Page 10 lists the priority groups in order.
Stock is being allocated to each area with very little notice, so we are unable to plan and book patients in more than a few days in advance. Therefore, if you have not been invited yet, please remain patient and do not worry – we will get to you. Our invitations are being sent out via SMS text to those with mobile phones, and to those without by email or letter. Once you receive your invite, you will be asked to contact a specific number to book your appointments.
When you have been contacted and given a pre-booked appointment; you will have been assigned to RED CLINIC or GREEN CLINIC. To help explain where to go when you arrive at New Milton Health Centre, please watch the video.
Updated Thursday 18th February 2021
The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) has opened as a mass vaccination site.
This will greatly help with the mass roll out of vaccinations in the surrounding area. This site will be an additional option for some of our patients.
If you are invited to attend the BIC via an NHS letter, you can choose to go there or choose to await an invite from the practice. If you already have an appointment for your vaccine at the New Milton Health Centre and have received a letter offering the option of the BIC, this does not change your appointment here. If you choose to attend the BIC, please let us know so that we may use your appointment for other patients.
